SHEIKH RAFI (Muslims & Christians)

Holy shit someone actually made a meaningful comment and this entry is dedicated to it.

SHEIKH RAFI commented on 5/4/05

"GREETINGS,

I WANT TO MAKE THIS COMMENT ABOUT WESTERN REGILION, WHY DO THE MEDIA ALWAYS PUT THE REGLION OF MUSLIMS WHEN A CRIME IS COMMENTED, AND WHEN A CHRISTRIAN DOES THE SAME OR WORST THE MEDIA NEVER SAY THAT CHRISTRIANS OR GIVE THE SECT OF CHRISTINTY. NOW IN AMERICA ALOT OF SCHOOL TEACHERS ARE HAVING SEX WITH STUDENTS AND ALL ARE CHRISTIANS, AND NO MUSLIM WILL EVER DO SUCH AN UN-GODLY THING SO YOU BE THE JUDGE ABOUT CHRISTRIANS AND ISLAMIC PEOPLE. LET THE MEDIA ANSWER THIS QUESTION ALSO, ALSO AS A MUSLIM I KNOW THAT WE KNOW MORE ABOUT THE BIBLE THAN CHRISTRIANS AND WE READ THE BIBLE WHEN MOST PEOPLE OF THE BOOK ( BIBLE ) HAS NEVER SEEN OR READ THE HOLY QURAN.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME,

SHEIKH RAFI."

First off the media in the U.S. are fuckheads, with that said, I have no clue why they would mention the religion of one criminal and not the other; probably because they are bias bible thumping fuckheads.  Possible it could be the superiority complex most Americans have, and since most Americans are Christians, every other religion must be wrong because only us Americans can be right...Right?  It's sad to say, but most Americans are intolerant greedy bastards and from what I see we are also a bunch of fucking racists (at least here in the bible belt we are anyway).  I'm not sure about the east and west coast, I don't live there but I would assume some parts of the U.S. are more tolerant then others.  As much as I hate the fact that I live in a country that lied about reasons to go to war, a country where the president is pretty much a moron, a country filled with racists, bigots and homophobes, a country that is currently taking more and more rights away from its people; there is no other country in the world I would rather live in, I love America, I would die for my country.  There are only two things in this world I would willingly give my life for, family and country.

"…NOW IN AMERICA ALOT OF SCHOOL TEACHERS ARE HAVING SEX WITH STUDENTS AND ALL ARE CHRISTIANS, AND NO MUSLIM WILL EVER DO SUCH AN UN-GODLY THING SO YOU BE THE JUDGE ABOUT CHRISTRIANS AND ISLAMIC PEOPLE..." I'm not defending any religion but, bad seeds are bad seeds, regardless of what religion they are; being Islamic or Christian means nothing.  Everyone sins no matter what religion they are and Muslims are just as capable of un-godly acts as Christians.  I hate to use September 11th as an example but the radical Muslims that hijacked planes and used them as bombs that day killed innocent children that day. So quit spouting some rhetoric bullshit you heard from a radical Muslim.  Also your logic of “…AND NO MUSLIM WILL EVER DO SUCH AN UN-GODLY THING SO YOU BE THE JUDGE ABOUT CHRISTRIANS AND ISLAMIC PEOPLE..." might possible be the same logic the media in the U.S. use when they mention that a criminal is Muslim and not vise versa.  No, I won’t be the judge about Christians and Islamic people; if you want you can judge Christians based on a few bad seeds but don’t get offended when you hear people say Muslims are terrorists, they are using the same logic you are.

You are very absolute about your comments.  I don’t necessarily agree that Muslims know more about the bible then Christians, you personally may read and know more about the bible then most Christians but to say Muslims know more about the bible then Christians is bullshit and simply not true.  If you wish to profess your faith’s superiority over other faiths that is fine, but don’t use half-truths and don’t lie to justify your religion.  If your religion is something that makes you a happy honest caring loving individual then what more justification do you need to know that your religion is right for you?

Nothing is absolute, nothing is permanent, nothing last forever; the one thing you can be sure of is things will change.  Christians will have sex with school children, Muslims will too.  Muslims will kill innocent people, as Christians will too.  To my knowledge there is not a godly barrier that prevents Muslims from committing the same crimes as a Christian.

Comment to Christian on Pope bashing

The following is a comment I made to a Christian regarding his bashing of Pope John Paul II; some of it might not make since with out reading the original post.

I never said that we shouldn't know what is right and what is wrong; I said we shouldn't judge.  I'll quote you, "...some supposed holy old dude who can't even get around without his little pope mobile, the apparent ringleader of a whole gang of child molesters)."  Calling a man the apparent ringleader of a whole gang of child molesters seems wrong to me, and it sounds like judgment to unknowingly call a man an apparent ringleader of a whole gang of child molesters.  Do you really think the pope has some underground society that is dedicated to molesting children?  Do you think that the pope told priests, "Hey lets go molest some boys"?  Do you think that is his mission in life?  Has the pope molested any one?  Yet you judged him calling him the apparent ringleader of a whole gang of child molesters.

Did the pope build the Vatican?  Does he own the Vatican?  Did he ask for his clothing?  Did he tell Catholics to build cathedrals and adorn them with gold and fine jewels?  What does the pope own?  He has given his life for the good of all people, regardless of religion, regardless of nationality, regardless of ethnicity, and regardless of any sin that they may have committed.  Time and time again he speaks out about oppression, and about the poverty of people everywhere especially those that live in third world countries.

I ask you, why does Christianity still exist?  It is because of Catholicism that Christianity persevered for 1600 years until the Protestants branched off.  Your Christianity is the product of Catholicism and you seek to condemn what your religion came from.  Don't get me wrong Catholics have done many terrible things in the name of god throughout history, but your religion, whatever it may be, exist because of this.  You attest to the correctness and goodness of your belief over Catholics, when your religion is simply a branch of Catholicism.

I’m sorry if you feel that I condemned your belief, but please, show me where I condemned your belief?  Show me where I said your belief is wrong.  I was simply saying how you use your religion to discriminate against other peoples’ religion is wrong.  Also, did I say you were talking about hellfire and damnation?  No I said "There is more to the bible then the hellfire and damnation that the protestants teach, there is more in the bible than simply how things will end here, there is more to the bible than fearing God's wrath.  Love, compassion, forgiveness...is that not what the bible is about?"

You attest to not blindly believe the “bullshit of men”, but the bible that you quote is not the bible that god inspired man to right.  What language was the god inspired bible written in, it certainly was not English.  So how did the English bible come to exist?  It was translated by men; it is these men's interpretations of the bible that you believe.  As you may know, there is a problem with translating from one language to another language; not every word of the original text can be translated into another language.  So, what did the men who translated the bible do, they determined for themselves, without the inspiration of god, what the meaning of untranslatable text should be.  When the bible was translated from old English into modern English did the translator go back to the original text?  No, they translated old English into modern, the same holds true for the many other translations.  The bibles that people read today are nothing more than translations of translations of translations.  I encourage you to go to a copy machine and make a copy of an original, then take the copy and make a copy of it, then take the copy of copy of a copy and copy it.  Now, compare the copy four times removed with the original, the original is still pristine, yet the copy is degraded; this is the same thing that happens with translations of translations of translations of translations.  The original bible's meaning is far different from the translations of translations of translations of translations meanings.  Yet you attest your interpretation of the bible is the true meaning, I personally find that hard to believe.

When you said at the end of your post, "Thanks to anyone who takes the time to view it.  If you have a minute, please leave a comment and lemme know what you thought of it."  I thought that applied to me too, obviously I was wrong.  I let you know what I thought of your post, and you took what I said out of context.  I was simply trying to convey to you the Love, compassion, forgiveness, and justice that is the bible and you took what I said as an attack on your belief, when I did no such thing (to my knowledge).

On another note I apologies for this being long, but I'm just answering the questions you asked me.  If you still feel that I was personally attacking your belief I'm sorry, but I honestly wasn't trying to do that.  If you don't want me to comment on your post please tell me, I will abide by your request, but I read your blog because I find it interesting and I commented because I felt that you to are a little mislead, just as everyone is.  There is no truth in this world if there was there would not be faith.  Have a good day and I hope nothing but the best for you.

The Judicial System

The judicial system, there is no justice in unequal punishment: crimes are crimes.  How can one man receive death for a murder and another receive life?  Both murdered, why isn’t their punishment the same?  One man traffics drugs, the other is a killer, yet their punishment can be the same?  One man molests a child the other robs a bank; one man took a child’s purity, the other stole money, yet their punishment can be the same?  One man is caught with a pound of pot; the other abuses his child, yet their punishment can be the same?  Clearly there is a problem; what happened to equality?

How can nine justices decide what is right for a nation; a nation like that is not a democracy.

Government

If a government lies to it's people,  it is no longer a government that can be trusted.  When a government fails to provide security for its people, it fails it's main purpose, to protect its people.  When a government takes it's people rights away, it's people no longer live in a free nation.  When a government oppresses peaceful protests, it is no longer a government of equality.  When a government does not have the integrity to ask forgiveness for it's mistakes, it is no longer a just government.  When a government does not reflect the views and opinions of it's people, it is no longer a government for the people, by the people.  When the people no longer have control over their own government, then that government is no longer a democracy; it is a machine that will do anything in it's power to survive.  When a government taxes every element of it's people lives, it becomes a government obsessed with money and greed.  When a government uses law to discriminate against it's people, it is no longer a government with it's people's happiness in mind; the majority must always respect the minority's wishes regardless of what the majority's ideology and or religious reasoning is, this is the way of a free and just nation.

It is the people right to govern themselves as they see fit, as long as the life and liberties of others are not infringed.  When a government can't be trusted and fails it's people; when peaceful means to correct the injustices of the current government can not be accomplished, the only way is revolution.

Patriot Acts

The United States, our government has problems.  From the Federal level down to the local level, no branch of government is unaffected by its problems.

The Patriot Acts, something is fundamentally wrong, to start with, the very title of these Acts, PATRIOT.  The word patriot means “one who loves and defends his or her country.”   These acts are neither for the love of our country nor to defend our country.  Where is the love in the acts that allows our countries own natural born citizens to be held without council, with out trial until the government sees fit to release them or put them on trial?  Where do these acts defend our country when they take away peoples rights, how does taking away our rights defend us?  Are these Acts going to save us from being attacked again, no, we will be attacked again on our own soil, it is only a matter of time.  Then what will be the purpose of these Acts, only to take away the peoples rights which the Acts profess they our trying to defend.  What happened to American’s ideology, it has given way to the ideology of security?  When we should have told the terrorist FUCK YOU, we didn’t?  When could have ended a terroristic threat, we put our heads up our own fucking asses, taking away innocent Americans rights.  The government should never seek to control its people; it is the people that should control its government.

Think about all the soldiers that have died for our freedom.  Soldiers that were real patriots, soldiers that never got to experience a long life, soldiers that never had a chance to have children.  Think about what they died for, our life, our liberty, our happiness and the rights of all Americans. Don’t tell me they died in vain don’t tell me there death means nothing now.  It makes me cry to think this is how our government respects real American heroes the real Patriots.  It should make every American man, women and child sickened to now that our government chooses security over freedom.  Patriots died for freedom and the government is slowly taking our freedoms away.  The United States government is a terrorist to American ideology and freedom.

I would rather die free by the hands of terrorists then too die secure without freedom.

Iraq

There seems to be a lot of talk about pulling our troops out of Iraq.  I was not a supporter of the going to war in the first place (not of the reasons given), but we went, we’re there, and we can’t just leave.  Not with how Iraq is now.  I couldn’t imagine living in a country where you live in fear of being killed or one of your loved ones being killed at any moment.  How could we just leave a country that is engulfed in violence, that we caused?  I don’t like the fact that our soldiers are dieing there, but what other choice is there in war?  War is death, and soldiers die in war; that is simply how war is.  I know it is sad but it is also the truth.  We have to finish what we started, not only for Iraq’s sake but for every American’s too.  Iraq is in worse shape today then they ever were under Saddam’s rule.  Don’t get me wrong Saddam was a tyrant and a killer among other things, but he still had order in Iraq, he still, for the most part, had a nation that was at peace.  The truth is we fucked up rushing into Iraq like we did, WE FUCKED UP.  The war is our mistake, only ours.  We can’t expect other countries to help us now.  We can’t expect N.A.T.O. or the U.N. to help us, especially when we already lied to them about our justification for the war in the first place.  Before we went to war in Iraq the U.N. told us Saddam did not have WMD’s, but our arrogance would not allow us to listen, and we rushed to war anyway so we American’s could feel secure.

I could write more about this, and probable should, but I feel like shit today.

Ye Generation Of Vipers

How can one be so certain of the Bible?  People are so certain of the bible that any other explanation is automatically determined to be false.  Strong believers in the Bible will tell you with out listening, that what you are trying to argue is wrong.  Why do believers in the Bible believe so wholeheartedly that the Bible is so infallible, the answer is ultimately the fear of death.  The Bible gives what nothing else (except other equivalent religions) can give, an afterlife, a way to beat death.  I’ll ask a question, Do You Really Want To Live Forever, Do You Really Want A Life After This.  I’ve seen enough in life to understand what life is, it is a constant struggle, and death is the only freedom you can receive from life, as long as there is life, there is a struggle to keep it.

Humans are so frightened of death, why: Greed, lust, pride, wealth, desire, vanity, etc.

Is there not more to life then fear of death?  Our time alive is brief, and there are many people among us who waste their short lives trying to overcome the undeniable unstoppable inevitable, death.

There is one thing I know that is 100% true; in this world all we have is each other.  Yet we are killing each other, oppressing each other, stealing from each other, fighting each other, discriminating against each other, lying to each other, the list of injustices we commit against each other are too numerous to list.  Look at yourself, look at each other, and look what we do to each other.  You call yourself a Christian; we are still a Generation of Vipers and given a chance, we would still spill the blood of prophets. We will always be Vipers consuming the innocent, destroying the righteous, and killing the prophets until that wonderful day arrives when we, thru death, cease committing injustices.

Lost

What is it all for?
What means anything in the end?
Why carry on?
Is all hope gone?
Is there no better way?

Nothing i do means anything: there is no use for me here. I'm lazy, i'm useless.  I'm screaming inside and smiling outside.  What goes on in my head will be there until i'm dead.  The things i write are mild compared to how i really feel.  When will this end?  Everything is pointless in the end, in the end we are dead, nothing will save me from that.  No savior will take away my death; death is never ending happiness.

No Title

I’ve been lost in this world for far too long, all the while thinking I’m someone I’m not.  I try hard to be something and that is killing me.  This world won’t let me be nothing, but yet it does: it is me who can’t.  It’s like there are two separate people in my head: the one that wants nothing and the one that wants everything, the one that knows and the one that knows not, the person who cares and the person who hates.

Often times I wonder, what is the problem with being antiwar?  Why is that looked down on?  What is the matter with people?  Why can’t we just get along?

I’d have to say that the problem with being antiwar is because of people’s unwillingness to respect one another.  People seem to think that being antiwar means you don’t respect and appreciate what our soldiers do for our country; when the real fact is antiwar people simply never wanted our soldiers to be in danger in the first place.  How many antiwar people actually want our soldiers to die?  Only the radicals do.  The fact is, people who are antiwar think that we too rapidly choose to go to war.  Antiwar is not anti-American, its not anti freedom, its our right as Americans.  It is American to be what we want, it is our freedom it is our right.

Only the sick minded want death, and war is death.  That is not to say that war is never the answer, but it must not be lied about and it must be our last resort.  How often is war the last resort?  Occasional, through out history, war was the only way because diplomacy failed.  It seems haphazard that war is sometimes the only way for peace to persist.  It’s crazy but true that more violence and more blood must be spilt so that peace can once again come about; people must die violently so people can die peacefully.

People think that the president somehow has the power to defend our lives, our liberties and our happiness yet the president doesn’t know me, he doesn’t know my dreams or my wants for our country.  So, how can he protect me?   How can he decide for me?  Only by taking away my liberties, my happiness can he even try to save my life from terror.  What is life without liberty, without happiness without our freedom?  Our country was founded on being free and now we are turning militaristic. Living our life has now taking precedence over being free.  I wasn’t born into a country like ours is now, the way we are governed today is not the way I was taught it was supposed to be, only a few years ago.

The terrorist that we desperately try to fight today must be laughing at the way we’ve reacted to their actions; they accomplished their objective, to disrupt our way of life, to take away the freedoms we enjoy.  While on the other hand we have accomplished what in the war on terror?  Are we any safer now?  The war on terror will not end by force; the way to peace is diplomacy and even that might not work.  No one can fight a multiple cell network, where each cell operates independently of each other with one definite purpose and hope to win.  We can’t fight an organized war with an enemy that is only organized by their ideology.  Our enemy always has the end in sight, they have an objective, they accomplish their objectives and for them the way the end shall come is of no consequence as long as the end remains in sight, the way to the end means nothing so long as the end shall come.

Mayhem

You, as me, came from where we all came.  When will it be time to return to our final home to our place of rest? At our final home nothing matters but we try to escape the rest, the home, the refuge, before we ever reach rest and we know nothing of what is the final rest.  If we found our refuge in the midst of mayhem, mayhem wouldn’t have power over us any longer.  Death and life are illusions to existence, and thought of this is mayhem to all existence.  To define what is and isn’t is mayhem and basically, what we do as humans is mayhem.   All the mayhem you create is yours to deal with, yours to reside in, yours to overcome and yours to abandon.  We don’t need mayhem, but it exists because we make it exist to feel accomplished.  Things will resolve if we don’t interfere but we medal in things uncontrollable, creating mayhem not only for ourselves but also for everyone.  Every problem we face, everything, is created by us, we are the problem.  Things left undone will naturally resolve; needing no commitment or influence nor any thought of our own.  Things will take care of themselves.  Our lives will not be good, our lives will not be bad: our lives will change… that is certain.  Life changes, this is certain, so why fight it, flow with it, not ahead nor behind, with it.  Be ahead of live and you fall behind, being behind life you dwell on the unchangeable, but to be with it would change you… then you need not change.  See things for what they are, see your life for what it is; you regardless, are no more important then the next… know we are priceless, life is priceless, money and positions can only heal cosmetically.  You cannot escape who you are, or what you’ve done; be whom you want but want nothing for gain or profit.  Only need what is needed.

God, Allah, Buddha, Shiva, Mohammad, Jesus, all religion and there prophets indirectly fuel hate in us, this too is no ones fault but our own because we don’t accept, we do not tolerate anything but the religion we was born into by chance; and by chance we could have been a follower of any religion.  Intolerance of religion is a fact, look at the world, it is known and still there is mayhem, mayhem everywhere we look, everywhere we could go.  We can’t escape mayhem because it is ours, created by us.  You can’t escape from yourself; how can we escape mayhem!
